-Old Projects-
true Demons- I actually haven't thought about this one in some time. I might resurrect it at a later time because it is a decent concept, but then again I might assimilate it into one of my comics or other projects. for now, still on hiatus.
30 Days of Knight- Really this was spawned from the excitement about TDK with my love of ben templesmith and 30 days. This cross-over was all in good fun and as such will remain on the back burner. It was created out of pure fandemonium so it may well end up gathering dust on the shelves of my mind.
The jokers Cards paintings- Not a popular project but one I claimed to want to finish. theres not a whole lot of concept in this one so I might just let it die out of lack of interest. It was fun, I wouldn't mind continuing it, its just not likely at this time.
Cereal Killers- I like this concept, though not the style. I have a few in the sketch phase but for the most part I've lost interest in it. I might return to finish it some day out of boredom or rekindled interest, (or financial encouragement *wink*) but for now, its on the back burner.
The Shadow Side comic- This is the furthest I've ever walked down the path of making a comic (due mostly to the fact it was a class project) so it remains at the forefront of my mind for the most part. I was considering tweaking the style of the comic and redoing the pages I already made while also continuing the story. I want to finish this comic more than any other so rest assured this one is in the works.
ICP comic- this one has gone through more changes than any other comic or idea I've ever had, mainly due to the fact that my views on ICP, the carnival, and the juggalos has changed alot in recent times. I've recently been fighting tooth and nail with the juggalos lately on forums and youtube about their ideals and the downfall of ICP. As such this comic has gone from direct interpretation to completely unrelated to slightly different and to strangely similar. I find it difficult to write a comic for/about a band I no longer agree with and a fanbase I find pathetic at best, yet I love the concept. I'm not sure whats going to happen with this one folks.
-new projects-
As always my brain keeps spitting out new ideas before my old ones even get their pants on so heres a few in development.
Harley Quin origin comic- Everyone wants to see this happen, including me. With the new Joker thoroughly blowing our minds, who wouldn't want to see a dark gritty interpretation of his lovely assistant. I thought I did, but then I thought about it, and I realized I hated the character. As such I will be doing it anyway with this disclaimer.
-DISCLAIMER-
I hate the character Harley Quin. She was a writers convenience thought up by the creators of the cartoon to give Joker a female substitute. I believe she is the truest incarnation of the chauvinist view of women ever devised. She's dimwitted, head-over heels for a man who doesn't care about her, she's sexy, flirtatious, and wears a revealing costume, she lacks any sense of independence, originality, or professionalism, and she holds out the belief that she can "tame" her man and settle down someday. She is the worst kind of character, a sell-out fan-servicer that detracts from the integrity of the story and its characters. she has no business existing in the batman world. She doesn't fit the Joker character, or the Joker-Batman equation. I've though about it up and down but there is no possible way to make this character work. she simply doesn't belong.
That being said, I'm doing the comic anyway. due to the popularity of the charter, a TDK interpretation is inevitable. As such I consider it a public service to interpret this character correctly and put it out there to influence those who might attempt it on a professional level, be it cinematic or otherwise.
As you can see, this incarnation will be drastically different than any other you've seen. I should have some concept sketches up shortly.
I'm also working on a massive picture I started months ago with lots of detail and coolness so look forward to that.
Other than that, I'm married now, have a 2 month old boy, and moved recently.
